Alpha Chan Lok Chi

Growing up, my interests circled sports, music, and academics, which eventually led to my love for doing math, playing piano, and watching anime. Among all my pursuits, serving as the Vice Captain of the Chinese Debate Team has been the most profound. Debate taught me the immense power of words—how a single synonym can shift tone and shape perception. Through writing scripts and preparing rebuttals, I developed sharp language and communication skills, which prepared me to serve as the Editorial and Publication Officer for Inkoders.

Through my debating experience, I realized that any communication is rooted in fundamental literacy—a skill many in our society lack, simply due to a shortage of resources. Stepping into a world where technological firms and artificial intelligence bloom, technological literacy and fundamental literacy became equally crucial, as we are required to have elite technological literacy to adapt to new trends. It would be a loss for our society if talents remained hidden because individuals lacked the tools to navigate this technological era.

I joined Inkoders because Inkoders focuses on improving fundamental and technological literacy, which aligns perfectly with my desire to create a positive social impact. Through this role, I am excited to sharpen my own editorial skills while producing meaningful publications that empower others to succeed.
