Privacy Policy

How Inkoders collects, uses and protects your personal data.

1. Who we are

Inkoders is a youth-led social enterprise in Hong Kong. We respect your privacy and handle personal data in line with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

Applications (Join Us): your name, email address, phone number, school or organisation, and the answers and documents you submit.

Donations: your name, email address, donation amount and payment status. Card details are processed by our payment provider and are never stored by Inkoders.

Events and enquiries: details you share when you contact us, register for or attend our activities.

Website preferences: your chosen colour theme and language are saved on your own device only.

3. Why we collect it

We use your information to review applications, organise workshops and events, process donations and send acknowledgements, reply to your enquiries, keep you informed about activities you signed up for, and keep our website secure. Providing information is voluntary, but without it we may not be able to process your application, donation or enquiry.

4. Who we share it with

We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run Inkoders — such as website hosting, email delivery and payment processing — and only as needed for those services, or where required by law. Embedded YouTube, Spotify and Instagram content may be subject to those platforms' own privacy policies.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required for accounting and legal reasons, and then delete it securely.

6. Keeping it safe

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, restricted staff access and private file storage.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw from future communications, at any time. Email info@inkoders.com and we will respond within 40 days as required by the Ordinance.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
