Engineering Excellence: Caleb’s Path to Global Robotics Success
Leading the PLKCKY robotics team to a historic second-place finish at the FIRST Global Challenge, Caleb transforms complex coding and engineering challenges into global success.

Caleb’s experience before joining Inkoders is captivating, rooted in robotics. He has acted as the captain for the CKY robotics team for two separate FIRST Global Challenges in Panama (2025) and Korea (2026), the most prestigious global robotics competition currently. This forged his leadership, coding, and even construction skills building refined robots that complete demanding tasks.
This year 2026, Caleb led the PLKCKY Robotics team towards tremendous success. The Hong Kong Team participated in this massive event, featuring over 190 countries and districts. The competition began with 3 days of qualifiers. Caleb’s leadership skills ultimately shined through, as he served as a role model, motivating his teammates to refine the robot as much as possible in response to the changing circumstances of the competition. Now, the focus shifted towards the finals, 32 teams, 8 alliances competing for the top 3 spots in the grand finals.
With Caleb’s brilliant tactics and PLKCKY’s flawless robotic skills, the HK team and their alliance members performed consistently, confidently marching into the grand finals. With Caleb’s leadership, HK made it to the grand finals for the first time. At the end, the HK team continued to perform well, and their alliance ultimately got second place in the FIRST GLOBAL CHALLENGE.
Caleb is utterly passionate about applying digital coding towards the real world. Through his robotics journey, not only did he expand his knowledge towards this field, but most importantly, he developed tremendous patience and resilience, refusing to give up even when the codes look unrecognizable. His impressive coding and construction skills ultimately earned him the title of PLKCKY Robotics team captain, which fuelled his passion even further.
About the author

Curriculum & Institutional Affairs Officer
Through Inkoders, I would like to embrace myself with knowledge to adapt to this competitive society. I joined striving for development in communication, leadership, and ability to work with others effectively, therefore further achieving my potential as a diligent thinker socially or academically. More importantly, the importance of AI is expanding tremendously, making it essential for everyone. Through this organisation, I would not only better understand its nature and usage, but also develop as a more confident and interesting speaker advocating others to embrace in technology through the immense opportunities. Lastly, I would want to utilise this organisation to open my door for more competitions in order to gain more experience for my growth. Leader or follower, experiences fuels human nature which is why I joined Inkoders. Processes of thinking is what interests me the most, not the product itself. I've joined countless amount of competitions from placing well in hackathons to winning Inno Makethon and Fintech competitions, and even going internationally. I would continue to hold a positive and hardworking attitude towards future experiences and treat every task that I encounter seriously, not wasting my past. I always enjoy combining words with knowledge and pursuade others however I can from promoting a product to expressing the significance of social problems. For hobbies, I enjoy playing football although my skills are still in development and walk through local places alone in order to connect to the outside world instead of staying at home. I'm also largely interested of history and politics.
